Our families and supporters started arriving Thursday as NFPA's board met to gather committee and regional reports and to plan operations for the upcoming year. One immediate change in the board was the appointment of Pam Allen of Nebraska as Region 7 Vice President. Pam will finish Jodi Orton's term.
Meanwhile Sarah Schafer, NFPA's administrative coordinator, and Dennis Seger, NFPA's IT support and webmaster, prepared to handle the more than 300 people checking in at the registration table. Preparing for the registrants was no small feat but they, along with NFPA's other volunteers, were up for the task.
Our exhibitors began setting up Thursday as well so be sure to check them out if you're at the conference.
